Advancing the Art & Science of Cosmetic Surgery

Affiliated Dermatology Cosmetic Surgery Center is fortunate to have not one, but two of the nation's preeminent cosmetic surgeons as founders. While in Dermatology Residency at Ohio State University Hospitals in the early 1980s, Drs. Dwight Scarborough and Emil Bisaccia met and began a professional, medical and scientific partnership that has helped shape the fields of cosmetic surgery and dermatology. McGraw-Hill has published their new medical textbook The Columbia Manual of Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery. Each has also authored more than 100 medical and surgical publications, and has presented at scores of regional, national and international medical conferences. Together they developed the MiniLift, an outpatient procedure that eliminates the double chin, jowls and loose skin to help patients look younger. They also helped pioneer developments in Liposuction performed under local anesthesia. Besides being much safer than traditional Liposuction performed under general anesthesia, better, more natural looking results can be achieved.
