Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels Reveal Younger and Smoother Skin

Attractive, healthy skin can once again be yours. Whether your skin has become wrinkled or damaged by the sun, been scarred by acne, or just shows age spots, blemishes and other normal signs of aging, a Chemical Peel is a safe, effective way to reveal the younger, fresher skin that lies beneath.

There are three types of peel techniques, matched to correct specific problems. During the consultation, your doctor will determine the technique that will work best for you.

Light peels are used to lighten superficial age spots and fine wrinkles. Medium peels can often be used to eliminate advanced sun damaged skin and age lines, while deep peels can help correct more sever conditions, such as acne scarring.

Peels are performed by our doctors in the comfort of our outpatient centers. The procedure generally takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Patients usually take a light sedative to help them relax during the peel. Depending on the strength of the peel, patients resume normal activities anywhere from within a day to a few weeks. Your doctor will be able to give you more specific information during your consultation.

The skilled physicians at Affiliated Dermatology have been performing Chemical Peels for over a decade, helping hundreds of patients achieve smoother, younger looking skin.
